Two months ago, the Gerald Desmond Bridge Replacement Project was featured in an art exhibit at a Los Angeles gallery, and starting on April 3, that showing will move closer to home, to the Long Beach Creative Group (LBCG) Gallery at 2221 E. Broadway in downtown Long Beach.

The show documents the dynamic building of the bridge on location in oil, watercolor, charcoal, ink and pencil. The culmination of the artists’ work will be part of a fine art exhibit entitled “Under Construction: The Long Beach Port in Paintings and Photographs” that will open April 3 and continue through May 1. The exhibit will open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 p.m.

During three of the exhibit dates, the show’s artists and photographers are scheduled to be there to talk about their work and answer any questions. These presentations will occur April 3, April 10 and April 11.
