A couple weeks ago, the New Dock Street on-ramp opened to enable motorists to directly access northbound SR-47. The new ramp provides a much-needed alternative route that will help traffic flow through the SR-47/Ocean Boulevard intersection and surrounding area.
To head north on SR-47, motorists traveling along New Dock Street used to turn right on Pier S Avenue, make a left turn on eastbound Ocean Boulevard, then another left onto northbound SR 47. Now, they can remain on New Dock Street, make a left turn onto the ramp, and drive over the Schuyler Heim Bridge.
